This story is not my domain story it simply tells you a little bit about me and what the hell I’m doing here. Well obviously I am a domainer, kind of a newbie but kind of not. (ah the story of my life) So that reminds me to tell you about my degree. (btw, I am extremely non-linear, so if you want a nice tidy little story with an intro, body, and conclusion you are reading the wrong blog) I have an MA in Liberal Studies, which means, I know a little about everything but specifically about nothing. It certainly isn’t for everyone but works great for me. I like a lot of things but what I really am is an artist who has a penchant for all things logical. Not sure how that happened but I am really glad it did.

That reminds me of a story Marianne Williamson told one time when she was describing our generation. She said something like, “Today we have all these specialists, someone to audit your taxes, someone to explain why the universe is expanding, someone to fill your cavity. All these specialists that know about one thing really well but they don’t get the world and nobody can tell you what the hell is really going on!” We need a resurgence in thinkers! Ya know what I mean? I mean when was the last time you called tech support and they actually solved your problem and didn’t have to read off that damn script!

My daughter and I drove across the country for the third time and have planted ourselves for the time being in LA. It is a very interesting city, certainly a polarity of both good and evil, beautiful and ugly, vast and shallow, depending on your perception and physical location. No matter what set of eyes you see Los Angeles thru you will definitely not be bored. I came here to focus on my t-shirt company but naturally I find myself interested in too many things. One thing in particular I can’t seem to stop doing is searching for domain names. I do a search in between projects just for fun. In fact, truth is I find that I would rather be seeing what’s going on in the domain industry and searching than working on my projects. So I have made a conscious decision to split my time between both jobs equally. This type of multi-tasking works well for me anyway…so here goes…More will be revealed : )
